This photograph taken in 1915 shows the now-demolished mansion at 1929 Collingwood Avenue. The 1891, 1900 and 1910 city directories listed the resident as John Cummings whose office was located at 316 Gardner Building. His biography appeared in Toledo and Lucas County Vol. 3 on page 65. He died on July 1,1921. He lived there with his wife Carrie (Sinclair) Cummings and Kittie and Bessie in 1880. Their servants were Winfred Cassidy and Lou Shear in 1880, Kate Malone in 1891, Elizabeth Fitzgerald in 1896 and Mary Wiser in 1910. The home was purchased in 1923 with plans to build a combined Masonic and Temple association edifice on the vacated land. The home was demolished but the Masonic Temple was never built there. | |||||
