2268 Scottwood was home to architect George Mills of Mills & Wachter who lived here in 1896. The home was constructed in 1895 with several later renovations. Sink dripboards (#1620) were added in 1910, an alteration (#1458) to the porch, and a garage (#2134) in 1915 with its own alteration (#2785) in 1918. Mr. Mills' wife was Alice (Baker) Mills. In 1896 Mary Bess was employed as the domestic. Laura McCracken was the live-in domestic in 1910 along with Minnie Schanback.
